Yeoman

Despite women moving into fields other than clerical work during World War II, many traditional Yeoman duties were still performed by Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES).  The abbreviation for Yeoman is YN.  One of the training locations for the rating was at Hunter College, The Bronx, New York City, New York.   This section highlights duties, training, and recreation done by females in the enlisted rank of Yeoman during the war.
