Caption: Off the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Mare Island, California, 1 July 1954, after "Fleet-Snorkel" conversion for transfer to the Turkish Navy. Note that she received a "Half-streamlined" sail, and retained her 5"/25 deck gun. In Turkish service, she was renamed PREVEZE (S-340) in their Navy.
