USN 708650:   Ten Years of the WAVY Blue, July 1952.   Recognition.  WAVES in training at the Naval Station Center, Bainbridge, Maryland, receive instruction in airplane and ship recognition during classes held out-of-doors.  Chief Petty Officer Wilfred Jones uses a model of a Navy transport plane during an instruction period.  Since their inclusion into the Navy ten years ago, this basic training has been given to over 110,000 women who have joined the WAVES.  A Tenth-Anniversary Reunion will be held for the WAVES during the last week of July in 1952.   Photograph released July 24, 1952.
