80-G-44065: Ensign Donald K. Ross, USN. Photograph received December 1943. As a Warrant Officer Machinist, he was serving onboard USS Nevada (BB-36) during the Japanese Attack at Pearl Harbor. For his courageous conduct, he was awarded the Medal of Honor. He was promoted to Captain in his career and died in 1992. Official U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.
