070823-N-8335D-121:   USS Tarawa, August 2007.    Sailors aboard amphibious assault ship participated in a well-deck operation with the Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS), August 23, 2007.  The INLS is a 249 ft. floating dock allowing for a more proficient system of moving equipment from ship to shore in places where traditional port facilities may be damaged, insufficient, or absent.
