<p>80-G-49172: Capture of German Submarine U-505, June 4, 1944. Members of the boarding party from USS Pillsbury (DE 133) secure the tow-line to the bow of the captured German submarine, U-505. Because the sea was sweeping across the deck amidships, the men of the boarding party were forced to hang tightly to a guide wire running from the conning tower to the bow in moving forward or aft.&nbsp;</p>
