26-G-1993:  Operation Avalanche,  September 1943.   The Invaders Make Friends.   Invading American Coast Guardsmen and soldiers make friends with an Italian family near the beach at Paestum.  The Americans, from left to right, are:  Coast Guardsman Philip B. Kearney; Army Technician J. C. Herandez; Private First Class Michel Assalone; and Private Jack Hubble.
