 80-G-257299:  Invasion of France, Le Havre, August-September 1944.   German pillboxes commanding an excellent view of the harbor of Le Havre, France, were found by Allied forces when the city was liberated.  Camouflaged as a “café,” on a street corner, the full effect of Allied bombs and shells is evident in the ruins of other buildings, 22 September 1944.
