80-G-257400:  Invasion of France, Le Havre, August-September 1944.   Prior to abandoning Le Havre, France, Germans placed demolition charge in well-like hole to destroy part of sea wall to render it useless to Allies.  Tank in foreground is a smokepot that Germans set off to cover harbor areas when Allied planes come over, 28 September 1944.
