![<p>80-G-30473: Operation Torch, November 1942. USS Augusta (CA 31). Survivors from HMS Hecla were brought by HMS Venomous to U.S. cruiser where they were clothed and fed. Note the life-preserver on the man in the middle. Hecla was sunk off Casablanca by the German submarine U-515 on November 12th. </p>
