<p>80-G-30338: Operation Torch, November 1942. Planes of USS Ranger (CV-4) en-route to invade French North Africa, November 1942. A “Piper Cub” preparing to take off from Ranger. Brought across the Atlantic on the carrier, these planes were landed on the first available landing spots seized by Amphibious Force units in their invasion of Morocco.&nbsp;</p>
