80-G-54417: Operation Flintlock, January-February 1944.    USS LST 476 and USS LST 479 emit a stream of mean and material at Roi Island in the Marshall Islands.  The island is a mass of wreckage from the terrific bombardment loosed by the U.S. Navy as a prelude to the landing.   Photograph released March 7, 1944.
