80-G-239318:   Invasion of Guam, July 21-August 10, 1944.   Private First Class Attilio Lattanz, who landed on Guam with the U.S. Marines on D-Day, has his first hot chow, several days later, as he scrapes chocolate from a ration bar into his mess cup, which he places on a small fire.  It wasn’t eight course dinner, but it was better than cold rations,   released August 5, 1944.    Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2017/03/07).
