127-GW-518-122300:   Okinawa Campaign, April-June 1945.     Fourth Marines, “L” Company Rifle Squad, lie low and break up while making way near river bank at Naha, Okinawa, 24-26 May 1945.  At time photograph was taken Japanese were putting everything they had at the Marines.  Note, large explosions in Naha made by our planes and heavy artillery.
