80-G-324124:  Okinawa Campaign, U.S. Naval Gunfire Support, Lieutenant Commander Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr, USNR, smiles happily after successful 78-day cruise during which he bagged a Japanese submarine in the Philippines and downed four enemy planes at Okinawa.   Roosevelt was President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s son and served onboard USS Ulvert M. Moore (DE-442).   Released June 1945.  Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2017/11/22).
