208-PU-53A-2:  Doolittle Raid on Japan, April 18, 1942.   Somewhere in China.  After a crash landing, Major General Jimmy Doolittle sits on the wing of a B-25 bomber in which he led the raid on Tokyo a year ago.  Doolittle was the first to take off from USS Hornet (CV-8).  He was one of the fortunate pilots who were located by friendly Chinese, released April 22, 1943.   Office of War Information Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.
