LC-Lot 9436-7: Corporal Harold Hazelwood, USMC, Navy Cross Recipient

LC-Lot 9436-7:  Hero at Midway Island.  Corporal Harold Hazelwood was signaled out for heroism at Midway Island, when he set-up his damaged switchboard and re-established communications despite a fractured leg and severe shock on December 7, 1941. Hazelwood served with First Lieutenant George H. Cannon, who received the Medal of Honor for his actions on Midway.  Hazelwood received the Navy Cross.
