Description: As was the case with their male counterparts, the sea bags of WAVES sailors included dress and working uniforms, one of the latter being made of gray and white cotton seersucker material like this uniform cover. Popular in warmer climates, the seersucker uniform was not the only working style worn by women, the dungarees of the type worn by males also worn by female sailors performing maintenance on aircraft, engines, or armament.
