Medal of Honor

medal_of_honor

The Medal of Honor is the nation's highest decoration that can be bestowed upon a member of the U.S. military. To justify the award of the Medal of Honor, the individual must clearly demonstrate an act so outstanding that it distinguishes gallantry beyond the call of duty. Represented in the Museum's exhibit are forty-four individuals associated with Naval Aviation who received the Medal of Honor for their heroic actions.
