One sectional hull model of the USS Sampson (DD-63). The model is constructed of copper alloy and shows a cutaway of the interior of the portside hull looking aft. The fore bulkhead is painted white at the top, gray at the middle, and black at the keel. There is a set of stairs that runs from the top section to the bottom section. A gray stripe of paint follows the path of the stairs. The aft bulkhead paint scheme mimics the fore bulkhead. The exterior of the side wall is painted gray with a horizontal black stripe at the waterline and red below the waterline.
