USS Grebe (AM-43) arrived at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with supplies and medicines for victims of a hurricane three days prior.   She was joined by USS Gilmer (DD-223) with a party of U.S. Marines for relief and rescue work.   Of note, Grebe would later be present during the Japanese Attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
