26-G-1987: Operation Avalanche, September 1943. Brothers Meet in Italy. These two brothers met for the first time since they enlisted when they both participated in the Invasion of Salerno, Italy. They are Coast Guardsmen Joseph H. Blue, (left) and Aloysius Blue, of Washington, D.C. The Coast Guardsman is serving aboard a combat transport and his brother is a member of a Navy beach party.
