80-G-490450:    Allied Prisoners of War, Tokyo, Japan.   Prisoners of war wait on a small dock in the Tokyo waterfront area for rescue craft manned by the U.S. Navy to approach and taken them out to a waiting hospital ship, USS Benevolence (AH-13).   Tall structures in the background have been bedecked with signs calling for rescue, Sepember 1, 1945.  Official U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.   (2014/5/29).
