80-G-490457:   U.S. Prisoners of War, 1945.   Allied prisoners of war suffering from malnutrition and other disorders as seen after their rescue from the Omori Camp, Tokyo area by a U.S. Navy rescue mission headed by Commander Roger Simpson and Commander Harold Stassen.  Treatment of prisoners was described as inquisitional form of barbarism, August 29-30, 1945.  Official U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2014/05/29).    The original is a small photograph.
