80-G-320525:   Okinawa Campaign, April-June 1945.  First Okinawa-area casualties to be air evacuated to the American mainland, are SC2C Willard Blair, Jr., USN, (bottom litter), who being given a routine examination onboard a NATS plane at Naval Air Station, Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, shortly before the big mercy ship took off on the final lap of its states-bound journey.  Kneeling beside Blair is Lieutenant Commander J. B. MacGregor, (MC), USN.  Smiling from the bunk immediately above Blair’s is Dewey Cormier F2c, USNR, and looking on from the top rack if Leo Alfred.
