80-G-322706: Okinawa Campaign, April-June 1945.   Two First Division Marines walk along a rubble strewn road towards the ruins of the Japanese Naval Academy on Okinawa, Ryukyus Islands. The building was wrecked during pre-invasion bombardment, released April 22, 1945.  Official U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2016/04/26).
