Description: This Air Force Type HGU-55/P flight helmet was worn by Captain Chuck McGill, USMC, while on exchange duty with the U.S. Air Force's 58th Tactical Fighter Squadron. While assigned to the squadron, he participated in Operation Desert Storm, shooting down an Iraqi MiG-29 in air-to-air combat on January 17, 1991.
