Description: Staff Sergeant R.L. Schimpf used this foot locker to store his gear during his World War II service in Marine Transport Squadron (VMR) 153. The top features a hand painted depiction of an R4D Skytrain and the words “Fast Freight to Hell,” the latter not a surprising sentiment given the squadron’s service at Peleliu and Okinawa.
