![Lieutenant Leo M. Sabota became the first Navy pilot flying the Berlin Airlift to complete 100 missions to the blockaded city. Flying with squadron VR-6, Sabota made his first trip to Tempelhof on 24 November 1948, when the squadron first arrived at Rhein/Main Air Force Base, and just 100 days later he completed his 100th mission.
