Caption: "Captain Sir Peter Parker Baronet, Commander of His Majesty's Frigate MENELAUS of 38 guns. Killed in action in the neighborhood of Baltimore on the 31st of August 1814." Stipple engraving by J. Godby after J. Hoppner. Published July 1815 in an unidentified English publication. Parker, who was the son of Admiral of the Fleet Sir Peter Parker, commanded H.M. frigate MENELAUS in American waters in 1814. He was killed in action while commanding a landing party in the vicinity of Baltimore, Maryland, on 31 August 1814. Dates of rank: Lieutenant, 1801; Commander, 1804; Captain, 1805.
