What the Navy is doing: The navy leads in engineering. The navy’s oil burning, electric driven battleships train and employ thousands of skilled engineers, machinists, electricians and firemen. At present there are vacancies in the ratings of firemen. Men without previous experience accepted and trained on shipboard or a one of the Navy’s training stations. A fuel oil school is in Philadelphia. Ask the recruiting officer.
