Admiral Joseph Mason Reeves, Sr.

Admiral Joseph Mason Reeves, Sr. commanded USS Maine (BB-10), a training ship in the Atlantic during World War I. Post-war, he joined the growing Air Corps, commanding the first aircraft carrier, USS Langley (CV-1) and was instrumental in the development of carrier tactics. He eventually rose to be the Commander, Battle Force, of the U.S. Fleet.
