The sign at left identifies the other ships built on this slip, including the U.S. cruisers Charleston, San Francisco and Olympia; U.S. monitors Monterey and Wyoming; U.S. Gunboat No. 14 (USS Wheeling); Japanese cruiser Chitose; and the S.S.
