62-MA6-139 USS Noa (DD-841) recovery of Friendship 7 spacecraft

Cape Canaveral, FL - astronaut John H. Glenn and Friendship 7 spacecraft were placed on aboard the destroyer USS Noa (DD-841) 21 minutes after landing in the Atlantic near Grand Turk Island. The USS Noa crew and John Glenn inspect the spacecraft for any possible damage after its three earth orbits at 17,500 miles per hour. February 20, 1962.
