Caption: Approaches Japanese survivors clinging to debris, after the submarine had destroyed their ship, during World War II. This may be the 29 July 1944 incident in which DRUM captured two Japanese after sinking their 25-ton "sampan" in the Carolines area. Note vessel in the right distance. It resembles a Japanese fishing craft.
