Caption: Is prepared for towing, supported by salvage pontoons, in Naples Harbor, Italy. Taken during harbor clearance operations. She was towed outside the harbor and allowed to sink in deep water. Photo received 2 March 1944. PALLADE had been sunk at Naples by air attack on 4-5 August 1943. Note "Liberty" ships in the background.
