Description: (American Coastal Steamer, 1894) View of the ship's port side midships area, taken prior to World War I. Formerly named Ruth, this steamer was acquired by the Navy on 13 September 1918 for use as a ferry. Following service as USS Atlantic (ID-3268), she was sold on 14 September 1921. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
