Description: (American Freighter, 1903) Possibly photographed after repairs to her hull after the 11 July 1918 collision that sank USS Oosterdijk (ID # 2586). Note what appears to be freshly renewed plating at her bow. This steamship was operated during World War I by the Army. She was considered for acquisition by the Navy (with ID # 1531), but remained under Army control. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
