Title: USS Shark (SP-534)
Description: Hauled out of the water, circa 1917-1919. This motor boat was built in 1909 for use as a pleasure craft. Formerly named Ildico IV, she was acquired by the Navy on 17 May 1917 and placed in commission on 24 May 1917. USS Shark was stricken on 16 September 1919 and sold on 20 October 1919. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
