Description: (American Whaler, 1912) In a West Coast area port, prior to her World War I Navy service. Acquired by the Navy on 19 January 1918 and commissioned as USS Star 1 (ID # 1351) on 30 March 1918, this ship was returned to her owner on 12 February 1919.
