Description: Backing away from dock, circa 1917. Built in 1917 as Herreshoff 312, this steam boat was designed and constructed as a patrol vessel. She was commissioned on 11 December 1917, stricken on 14 May 1919 and transferred to the War Department on 20 November 1919. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
