Title: Steam Yacht Wakiva
Description: Photographed circa 1910-1914, before the outbreak of World War I. A British armored cruiser (at right) and a U.S. Navy battleship are visible in the background. Inscription on the original print indicates that Wakiva was then in use as a survey ship, and was associated with the New York Yacht Club. She is not the yacht that served as USS Wakiva II (SP-160) in 1917-1918. The original image was printed on postal card (AZO) stock. Donation of Dr. Mark Kulikowski, 2005.
