Description: (American Harbor Tug, 1875) Possibly photographed in the vicinity of New York City on 31 May 1918, when she was inspected by the Third Naval District. Built in 1875 at Newburg, New York and rebuilt in 1899, this tug was previously named Wauwatosa. She was owned by the Pareis Towing Line of New York City. Elliott, which was assigned registry ID # 2898, was reportedly delivered to the Navy at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and placed in commission on 25 January 1919.
