Caption: By Pietro Russo, Messina, 1508. There exists only one other chart signed by Russo, and he is supposed to be of Valencian origin, the brother of Jacobo, of whom there are other works done in Messina between 1520 and 1588, although such a long period and the differences noted in the production have suggested two different cartographers of the same name.
