Title: USS DELAWARE Figurehead
Caption: Bronze replica of the original wooden figurehead of Tamanend, chief of the Delaware Indians, from USS DELAWARE. The replica was cast on 3 December 1929 at the Naval gun factory at a ceremony attended by members of the class of 1891. Captured World War I ordnance material weighing 3500 pounds was poured.
