Caption: Illuminated by the sixty inch Sperry Searchlight. This photo was produced by taking a time exposure, leaving the camera open for a period of one-half hour while the searchlight was moved slowly over the entire skyline. If the city was floodlighted with this intensity of light it would take 42,000,000,000 candlepower to produce the effect shown in the photograph.
