View looks aft, with the forward superstructure in the background. The director has partially collapsed to starboard. The sketch below shows the director's arrangement, extending down to the main deck. Taken on board Admiral Graf Spee's wreck in the River Plate, near Montevideo, Uruguay, where she had been scuttled in December 1939.
