Submarines are (from left to right): USS L-3 (Submarine # 42); USS L-11 (Submarine # 51); USS L-10 (Submarine # 50); USS L-4 (Submarine # 43); and USS L-9 (Submarine # 49). Note differing forms of chariot bridges on these submarines; white markings on their foredecks; and 3/23 deck guns in retracted position, just forward of the submarines' fairwaters.
