Caption: Thanks Representative Thomas Martin of the 85th District of Texas, for his offer of a goat to succeed "Bill the Tenth" who died in his sleep. The goat, donated by the people of Fredericksburg, Texas, Fleet Admiral C.W. Nimitz's birthplace, arrived just in time for the classic Army-Navy Football game, 29 November 1947.
