Title: S.S. Santa Rosalia
Description: (American Freighter, 1911) Photographed prior to her World War I era U.S. Navy service. Built at Port Glasgow, Scotland, in 1911, this steamer was acquired by the Navy on 20 May 1918 and placed in commission as USS Santa Rosalia (ID # 1503). She was returned to her owner, the U.S. Steel Products Company of New York, on 26 June 1919. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
